HELMS HELPS FOUNDATION

Helping nonprofits so more of our community can thrive.

Collaborating to improve the quality of life for all in Las Vegas

Food, shelter, education, and health are the cornerstones of a strong and thriving society. That’s why we partner with local nonprofits that work to provide these fundamental needs and toward prevention.

Through strategic support and monthly donation-matching campaigns, Helms Helps is committed to collaboration and driving long-term, positive change across the Las Vegas Valley.

In 2024, we created the Helms Helps Alliance so other philanthropists can join our mission and help make an even bigger impact. Learn more >

Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation

Three Goals: Educating | Employing | Empowering

Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation is the only foundation that supports children with visual impairments in the state. This creates gaps in employment and graduation rates. Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation works to close these gaps by providing the building blocks every child needs to reach their full potential.

Nevada Blind Children's Foundation focuses on three goals: educating, employing, and empowering.

Our work allows students like Amir to find their passion. When he first entered our facility, he was shy. The building was big and intimidating. He didn’t know what to think. He started to open up after meeting Ms. Megan, the life skills teacher. She taught him so much: cooking (his favorite class), cleaning, and combing my hair. He has started helping to cook meals for the first-year students through our internship program.

The Helms Helps will be matching donations up to $20K in the month of April 2026.

Vegas Stronger

Raised $71,517

“As a nonprofit that only started our development program to attract private philanthropic support, we would receive a donation now and then. The Helms Helps matching campaign helped us expand our donor base, raise awareness to our mission and purpose, and attracted first time donors who did not know about us before.

Since our matching campaign, we’ve been able to engage with these donors and build relationships with them for long term support… Terry Helms doesn't just write a check, he helps nonprofits learn to be strategic and allows his donation to be leveraged to encourage others to join in.”

“Before Helms Helps, our team was deeply committed to ending period poverty, but we often faced the challenge of stretching limited resources to meet growing community needs. The $20,000 matching campaign was a game changer. It energized new supporters, doubled the impact of every donation, and reminded us how powerful it is when a community comes together around a shared purpose.

Helms Helps didn’t just match funds, they matched our passion with opportunity. Their support helped us build meaningful collaborations and momentum that continue to move us closer to a world where no one is held back because of their period. PERIOD”
